PreSonus has recently impressed us all by dominating the USB 3.0 market. The creation of the Studio 192 was paired with seamless Studio One integration and DSP on every channel. It really satisfied the needs of PC users, and even Mac users with USB 3.0. With the power packed in the interface, and the included Studio One software, it makes this interface much more appealing.
Now, it gets even more appealing. PreSonus has shaved off some of the weight from the Studio 192 to mold the 192 Mobile!
Built-in are two of PreSonus' XMAX pre-amps. Each channel has phantom power and DSP to enhance the incoming signal. A feature I really like about this is the very accurate metering. Typically with interfaces like this one, the metering is comprised of 1-3 LED's, and it is difficult to see the actual level of the signal before your pre-amps overdrive. I'm really glad PreSonus made everything easy to use and see.
On the back, there is a bit more going on. There are 2 line inputs for some extra channels, 6 line outputs (including monitors) to run your signal through some external signal processors, and word clock and S/PDIF I/O as well. More toward the left, you can see 2 ADAT inputs and outputs. Each of these support sample rates up to 96k. In total, this little box has 22 inputs, making it perfect for mobile recording and stationary studios!
PreSonus also released their best monitors yet, the R65 and R80! These accuracy defining monitors would be a great addition to any studio. Espacially ones with the Studio 192, because matching gear is always better! Check out the monitors here!
