PreSonus just released their new line of Mixer/USB Audio Interfaces, the StudioLive AR series! There are three different mixers - all lightweight, rugged and loaded with features. These interfaces/mixers start at $399.95 and are the solution for live music and studio setups. Pictured above is the StudioLive AR16, the flagship of the line. Starting from the top, we have 12 of PreSonus' world-famous microphone preamplifiers. The latter of the 12 channels also have stereo line inputs. Each channel has a low-cut option and the first two channels even have instrument-impedance inputs! Below that, PreSonus has designed and musically smooth EQ with a sweepable mid band on the first 8 channels. The high band is set at 12kHz and the low at 80Hz. As any standard mixer, each channel has a dedicated mute switch and a Pre-Fader Level (PFL) switch. 
You may be wondering what the channel is next to the last preamp. PreSonus calls that the Super Channel. It wields a stereo RCA input, a stereo 1/8" (Aux) input and Bluetooth 4.1 synchronization. You can plug your background music for live shows right in! 
I think the best part about this mixer line is what you see in the picture above. The built-in USB port allows for recording of not only the master bus, but each channel individually! Something like this has never been available for such a low price. This is the most affordable way to mix and record 12 channels at one time! And if you don't have a computer handy, but want to record a live show, the top right corner on the face of the mixer has a space for an SD card. PreSonus has really made something special here for both beginners and experienced engineers.
