PreSonus made a few announcements this week about product updates, free stuff, and some awesome new products. Included in those announcements was the new StudioLive AR16! This 18-channel hybrid mixer is the ultimate recording solution for musicians, podcasters and engineers both in the studio and on the road. The mixer has 8 mono and 4 stereo channels, each with 60 mm level fader, pan, mute, PFL solo, highpass filter, and 3-band semi-parametric EQ (mono channels even have a sweepable mid band). There are even two instrument inputs so you can plug a guitar or bass directly in without a DI box! On the final stereo channel, the "Super Channel," there are RCA inputs, 1/8-inch stereo input, switchable SD/USB stereo playback, and Bluetooth 4.1 input! That means you can play music from your phone! This beast also records 2x2 onto SD cards up to 32GB, or you can connect it directly to a USB 2.0 port on your computer and use it as an audio interface while you record 24-bit audio! PreSonus has also made a few updates to the already critically acclaimed UC Surface. The UC Surface is a wireless mix control software available for users of the AI series console mixers, RM series rack mixers and now Studio 192 users! With the new updates, the DSP latency is virtually non-existent and the on-screen navigation is even more user-friendly. This intuitive software is Mac, iOS and Windows compatible, making it available to many more PreSonus customers.
