Mile of Music is here again and we couldn't be more excited! This is the fourth annual Mile and it is right outside our doors. College Avenue in Appleton is packed with over 800 performances from original musicians and artists native to many parts of the US. The profits from Mile of Music are split between two funds: The Mile of Music Education Fund and Creative Downtown Appleton, Inc. The Mile of Music Education Fund donates profits to help fund music programs and opportunities in the Appleton schooling districts. Creative Downtown Appleton, Inc. describe themselves as supporting the "creative economy movement by enhancing the cultural and artistic environment through the development of opportunities for community access to arts, music and culture." Walking down the Ave, you can see much of the work they've done in creating a more colorful and cultural Downtown Appleton.
