Not just any 1176 either, this one sounds excellent, and has been modded to have XLR input and output. It's a great example of what an 1176 should sound like. If you don't have an 1176 in your rack, you're doing it wrong. Buy this one, we won't likely have another this good for awhile.
Used - Digidesign Digi002 With Black Lion Signature Mod - $1099.99 The Black Lion Signature mod is their highest end mod, it upgrades just about everything, and puts the converters and preamps on par with much more expensive units. It's a killer sounding unit, and it pairs well with a vintage Merlot, or even an 1176 for the bold among you. Kidding aside, these are incredible, and if you're looking to have a professional sounding setup without spending $10,000, this is a great way to start.
