Many of you have seen our articles in the past about B-Stock from Focusrite, Novation, Oktava and many others. We are very excited to have B-Stock from Harman for the first time! In this article, we'll showcase a few highlights of some of our favorite pieces.
These are the the flagship reference headphones from AKG. Hand-made in Europe with no compromise in materials, these are the most perfect headphones for serious monitoring. Soundcraft has been in the console game since 1973 with the release of their Series 1 console. More than 40 years later, they still impress the live mixing console market with the GB4. We have a 24-channel version and got to try it out. These preamps have tons of headroom and are paired with a very smooth 4-band parametric EQ.
What sets these boards apart from others in its class (other than the squeaky clean sound) is the mixing matrix. It allows the mix engineer to route to multiple outputs and even includes mute groups to give yet another much needed level of control. There is also an onboard limiter, main output insert points to strap on stereo effects to the whole mix, and a redundant power input for ensuring constant power no matter what happens to the internal power supply.
Ever since we started carrying JBL speakers, we can't get enough of them. The 3 series monitors are definitely the best value for the price of any monitor. The 7 series steps it up and delivers insane accuracy so your mixes and post-production work translate to any mixing environment. They do exactly what great monitors are supposed to do.
What sets JBL speakers apart from others is the Image Control WaveGuide. This technology was designed for JBL's flagship mastering speakers, the M2, which you will see regularly for $12,000 per pair. The Image Control WaveGuide broadens the "sweet spot" and reproduces a more accurate representation of your sound in nearly any listening area.
