New Arrival - D'Addario, Evans and Promark

In the last few years, we have been expanding into synthesizers, guitars, ukuleles, flutes and now drums and drum accessories! D'Addario is one we have been very anxious to bring on board and they just arrived. D'Addario is primarily known for guitar strings and other accessories, but they also own Evans and Promark. In addition, the company is dedicated to 100% USA production. In this article, we will show some highlights of the fresh arrivals.

D'Addario

Strings

D'Addario is most famous among guitar players for the quality of their strings. Most notably, the NYXL. They are designed to bend further, have louder output and keep tuning better (131% better to be specific) than any other string on the market. This is made possible by the new wire drawing process perfected and used in the New York D'Addario factory.

Picks

There are so many different kinds of picks. Sizes, shapes, styles, designs, etc. We pretty much have them all. Seriously. Jazz picks, nylon acoustic picks, picks with grips and even Beatles picks. These are all made in the USA with no compromise to quality, so you know you're getting the very best.

Care Kit

D'Addario only makes one care kit, but it's so good that it deserves its own category. This care kit includes everything you need to ensure quality, long-lasting life for your instrument. There is a bottle of detailing fluid, guitar wax, spray cleaner, Hydrate fretboard cleaner, fret polishing system, microfiber cloth, XLR8 string cleaner, and a headstand with a mat to make string changing a breeze. All of this comes in a heavy duty case that can withstand any tour or studio beatings.

Evans

Drum Heads

In 2013, Evans unveiled their new Level 360 drum heads that offer the most intuitive drum heads available. Most drum heads by other manufacturers are never fully in contact with the bearing edge which causes tuning to both take a long time and be very difficult. With Level 360 heads, the whole process begins with the head meeting the bearing edge all the way around. Immediately, it will sound great, even with just finger-tightening the tension rods. Of course, we always will recommend tuning the tom or snare to fit your kit and style though. Check it out in this video:

E-Rings

E-rings are used as tone control. They "float" above the drum and help dampen the overtones without sacrificing tone.  This is possible by being cut to fit only around the drum leaving the center open for direct contact with the head. E-Rings are available in singles or pre-sized packs.

Pedal Patches

Pedal patches are essential for drummers who don't want their bass drum heads to suffer dearly from pedal fatigue. This are especially popular in the metal community where fast double kicks are almost an expectation. They both protect the bass drum batter head and increase attack. We carry both single and double bass pedal sizes!

Promark

Promark makes some of the highest quality sticks available. We like too many of them to feature just a few. Just like its sibling companies, the Promark sticks are all made in the USA. The difference in quality of Promark sticks compared to any others is very distinguishable just by sight, but the difference in price is negligible if at all present. Promark's latest and greatest technology is their Active Grip. The sweatier you get, the more grip you get. Definitely a must have for every hard-hitting drummer. We are very excited to bring the D'Addario brands on board. Stay posted for more as we are constantly growing! As always, enjoy FAST and FREE shipping on any order in the continental US.
