New from Zoom - H1n Handy Recorder - NAMM 2018

Zoom is credited with some of the most coveted handheld recorders to date. They continue this legacy with the new Zoom H1n Handy Recorder, which replaces and upgrades the famous H1. H1n is priced at $119.99. Packed with more features and a more rugged casing than the original, this recorder is ready for anything. Today we'll go over some highlights that really set this apart from anything else.

The H1n has a newly improved user interface that is very easy to read with extra options for the cleanest high-quality recording. Starting from the top, you get two of Zoom's highly-regarded condenser microphone capsules encased in a hardened plastic cage for protection. The capsules are placed in an X/Y configuration to eliminate phase issues. There is an easily adjustable preamp gain dial right below them with headroom of 120dB! The LCD screen is bright and defined. It remains clearly visible even with the brightest glares from external lighting factors. It displays the file name, record time, battery life and the status of the four options below. These include sample rate and bit depth (AUDIO), a switchable high-pass filter (LOCUT), a peak limiter that stops audio from distorting the converters (LIMITER), and the same auto gain function from the H1 that automatically sets your microphones' gain stage (AUTOLEVEL). Below the transport controls, there is a mono speaker to listen back to your recordings. One of the coolest parts about the H1n is the new overdub feature. For musicians who like to layer tracks, this is a necessity to fill out your recordings. The H1n allows for unlimited overdubs, so you can add as many harmonies as you could ever want. The H1n is available right now and they won't last long! As always, enjoy FAST and FREE shipping anywhere in the continental US.
