Over the last year or so, we have been getting further and further into the world of guitars. Our primary focus has been and will always be recording gear, but we love expanding our guitar and guitar accessory inventory. We've been looking into a few pedal brands and Walrus Audio caught our attention. Next week, we will have our first shipment of Walrus pedals! Let's take a look at a few we'll be getting in stock.
First off, it's difficult not to look at these pedals. They are so artistic and it puts a good picture in your head of the mural a full pedalboard could create. All of their pedals are made in the USA, forged of high-quality components. This particular pedal is something special. It has all the typical delay functions as you would rightfully expect, but it's something more. It's not enough for me to just tell you. Check out this video:
The Deep Six is a guitar pedal inspired by the world-famous 1176. The 1176 is probably the most versatile compressor ever placed into a gear rack. Now guitar players have that kind of versatility at their soles before even hitting the amp. The best thing about this compressor is the ability to blend the dry signal with the compressed signal. This is a feature every compressor should have. I, among many others, prefer to slam guitars with a slow attack and then blend it in until it just makes it snappy enough to bring out articulations and add some life into the track.
As you may have guess from the name, this is a hybrid pedal, combining the ambiance of a rich analog chorus and the pulse of variable vibrato.
